About

When I first moved to Seattle, I was hired by Starbucks Coffee at their, at the time, only roasting plant. I started in line production, then became a machine operator, and then a production lead. As a production lead, I was highly involved in setting up the machines and processes in their new plant in Kent, WA.

After that, I traied to be a roaster, and then became a lead roaster. Eventually, I left Starbucks to be a lead roaster at Caravali.

After being hired as a roaster lead at Caravali, I eventually took over all aspects of quality assurance, including green coffee, roasted coffee, and packaging integrity. During my last 18 months there, I also took over support of the LAN, which had a Novell fileserver, a bunch of win95/win98 systems, and a T1 line down to the corporate system in Sacramento.

When the plant shut down, rather than move down to Sacramento, I decided to look for another job in the Seattle area. This led to me being working at RealNetorks as an Associate Systems Administrator as a contractor through Comforce. I was later hired on as a Junior Systems Administrator, and subsequently became a Systems Administrator, a Senior Systems Administrator, and then a Senior Systems Engineer.

After RealNetworks, I became a Senior Dev Ops Engineer at MoxiWorks.
